OFFICIAL FIFA WORLD CUP 2010 SONG MIXED BY CELIS

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis recently mixed the official song of the FIFA World Cup 2010 “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”. The song features Shakira and South African group Freshlyground. The mix was done by Celis at his own Elastic Mix Studios, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“I am thrilled to have collaborated with Shakira and Freshlyground on Waka Waka (This Time For Africa), especially because I feel that the song captures the passion and energy of the African World Cup. With Spain playing on the final match this Sunday there is even more reason to celebrate.” - Gustavo Celis

Celis also worked on the track with producer John Hill (Santigold) and recorded Shakira’s vocals . Waka Waka will also be included on “Listen Up! The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Album” released the week of May 31 by Sony Music Entertainment. A Spanish language version of the track, Waka Waka (Esto es Africa), will be made available in certain markets.

SHAKIRA'S GYPSY & GITANA SINGLES MIXED BY CELIS

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis recently mixed Shakira’s new singles “Gypsy” and “Gitana”. The video features Tennis extraordinaire Rafael Nadal. The mix was done by Celis at his own Elastic Mix Studios, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“This track is very heartfelt and organic. As part of the mix process I decided to transfer all 70 tracks to a 2” 24trk analog tape machine (in three passes) at Compass Point Studios in Nassau. After the transfer I re-recorded everything back to Protools in order to begin mixing. The difference was quite dramatic as the sounds started to breathe into life and the track became less pristine or should I say... a little more Gypsy” - Gustavo Celis

Celis also worked on the track with producer Lukas Burton and recorded Shakira’s vocals at Guillaume Tell Studios in Paris, France . Gypsy is the latest single from the critically acclaimed album She Wolf. The single was released February 19th and it already climbed to the #1 spot in some markets. On Wednesday April 28th Shakira will perform the song on American Idol along with country band Rascal Flats.

SOS - HELP FOR HAITI

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis was asked by BET Networks to supervise the mix for “SOS Saving OurSelves - Help for Haiti”. The benefit concert was aired on BET and Centric, as well as MTV Networks’ MTV and VH1 on Friday, February 5, 2010.

The telethon was to raise money for relief in the earthquake devastated nation of Haiti. Wyclef, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, Pitbull, Akon, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, Damien Marley, and Nas performed at the event held at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami.

The downloads available at the iTunes and Amazon stores feature performances by Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige, Robin Thicke, and many more. 100% of proceeds will go to the relief effort in Haiti.

Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis recently mixed Bonnie Bailey’s new single “Millions of Milkshakes” for the popular celebrity studded “Millions of Milkshakes” store in Los Angeles. The track was produced by Ric Wake and mixed by Celis at his own Elastic Mix studio in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“Bonnie is an amazing singer, I often joke about her having a built-in compressor in
her throat. It is no joke I tell you, I think it is due to her vast studio experience that
allows her total control of her voice in front of a mic. The track rocks! and I love what

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis recently mixed Shakira’s new single “Give It Up To Me”. The track features Lil’ Wayne and was produced by Timbaland. The mix was done by Celis at his own Elastic Mix Studios, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“This track is awesome and I love Mr. Mosley’s production on it. We had a wonderful
time recording at SARM in London. Sam the assistant engineer from Australia was very
nice to us, it felt like working at home and of course London is not a bad place to make
a record either. Shakira’s vocals where amazing and very different. It was a great
privilege to be a part of this incredible project” - Gustavo Celis

Celis also recorded Shakira’s vocals on the track. The tracking was done at the legendary SARM West studios in London, England. The single was released as part of the new Shakira album “She Wolf” and has been in stores since November 23rd.

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis has been nominated for a Latin Grammy Award for his work recording and mixing Mercedes Sosa’s Cantora 1. The mix was done by Celis at his own Elastic Mix Studios, in FT. Lauderdale, Florida.

ALAS CONCERT FOR THE CHILDREN MIX

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis wrapped up mixes for the ALAS Concert for the Children in Buenos Aires. The mix was done by Celis at his own Elastic Mix Studios and it included performances by Shakira, Ricky Martin, Gustavo Cerati, Alejandro Sanz and Mercedes Sosa.

Over 120,000 people filled the plaza mayor in Buenos Aires and more than 100 million tuned to the Univision broadcast all over the world. The concert was organized by the ALAS foundation and the proceeds benefit impoverished children in Latin America.

TEC AWARD NOMINATION 2008

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis was nominated for a TEC Award for his Mix of Shakira’s Oral Fixation Tour DVD and Blu-ray disc. The recording was done by Celis at the Miami Airlines Arena and latter mixed in stereo and 5.1 surround at his own Elastic Mix Studios.

what I love the most. I am very excited about this particular project because

ERIC CLAPTON & ROGER WATERS SESSIONS

Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Gustavo Celis recently wrapped up recording sessions with two of Rock’s greatest legends Roger Waters and Eric Clapton. The recording is for a project called ALAS and will benefit poor children in Latin America. It is a “We Are The World” type song written by Roger Waters (former singer of Pink Floyd) for the A.L.A.S foundation. The song is an epic, at the moment 15 minutes long and features great Latin American artists such as Gustavo Cerati and Pedro Aznar.

Guitar solo you have heard. One take, first time listening to the song. That’s all
it takes for him. Pure genius. What at incredible honor and delight”

The new song is reminiscent of the great classic “Comfortably Numb” featured in the revolutionary 1980’s double album “The Wall”. The ALAS song will be released in the near future.
